The Young Dreamers’ Bookstore Named Semi-Finalists in the Up Prize Competition

We’re honored to share that The Young Dreamers’ Bookstore has been named a Semi-Finalist in the UpPrize: Social Innovation Challenge!

Out of 70 inspiring companies, we are proud to be recognized among the Top 10. This milestone affirms our commitment to curating books that uplift children with powerful ideas, imaginative stories, and empowering images—tools that help them dream boldly and voice their greatness.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to BNY Mellon and Innovation Works for championing social innovation in service of racial justice. Special thanks to our incredible community of innovators and leaders—Andréa Stanford, Scott Wolovich, Sharnay Hearn Davis, William Generett Jr., Tammy Bey, and Tanika Harris—for making this journey even more meaningful.

This recognition would not be possible without the visionary leadership of our co-founders, Dr. Eliada Griffin-EL and Dr. Nosakhere Griffin-El Sr., whose passion continues to drive our mission forward.

Congratulations to all the UpPrize semi-finalists—we’re inspired by your work and excited to be in such great company.
