Co-Founder Receives Black Excellence in Education Award from The State of Black Learning

We are thrilled to share that our Co-Founder, Nosakhere Griffin-El Sr., has been honored with The State of Black Learning’s prestigious Black Excellence in Education Award.

This powerful recognition celebrates his unwavering commitment to helping Black children see the connection between reading and building their dreams. At The Young Dreamers’ Bookstore, this award affirms our shared belief that books are more than stories—they are tools for liberation, imagination, and purpose-driven learning.

We extend our deep gratitude to the SBL selection committee, the families who have entrusted us with curating books for their young dreamers, and our incredible partners—local, regional, and national—who have worked alongside us to impact the lives of thousands of children across the country.

A special thank-you to our Co-Founder, Dr. Eliada Wosu Griffin-El, whose visionary leadership and tireless collaboration continue to drive our mission forward with purpose and innovation.

Together, we remain committed to inspiring the young dreamers to make the world a better more beautiful place!
